A Warm Welcome to our New Tenants

We have signed a five-year Tenancy Agreement with Valentin Raileanu and his partner Kara.  The Ash Tree will be closed during January as they  carry out kitchen refurbishments and  they expect to re-open in early February.

Valentin & Kara bring proven experience in hospitality and both fine dining and modern British pub food, featuring innovative and seasonal dishes. They're passionate about community hospitality and eager to deliver the Vision for The Ash Tree.

A charming village pub
experience awaits

Nestled in the hilltop village of Ashendon, Buckinghamshire,  discover The Ash Tree, a beautifully restored 17th-century inn where you can eat, drink, and sleep in true English comfort. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside it’s the perfect escape for those looking to slow down and soak up friendly country village life.

Proudly pouring local ales

The Ash Tree is a free house because supporting local breweries matters. Craft brewers pour their passion and creativity into every batch of beer.  And just like village pubs, independent breweries are more than just providers of a good pint - their entrepreneurial spirits are pillars of local economies and cultural hubs that enrich our lives.

The Gatehanger's Bar at The Ash Tree boasts a cracking selection of constant lagers and ales and rotating guest ales, providing a platform for our discerning  customers to sample all kinds of flavors from the area ranging from dark ales to IPAs, and lagers to cider.
